ඉකුත් පෙබරවාරි 14 වැනිදා සෙනසුරාදා ආදරවන්තයන්ගේ දිනය දා ඉහළ පන්තිවල සිසු සිසුවියන්ට පාසලට පැමිණ අවිනීතලෙස හැසිරීම පිළිබඳව සිදුකරන ලද විනය පරීක්ෂණ වාර්තාවේ නිර්දේශ මත මේ තීරණය ගෙන තිබේ.
විදුහල්පතිනියත් පාසලේ කාල සටහනක් නොමැතිව දිර්ඝ කාලයක් සේවය කළ ගුරුවරුන් අට දෙනකුත් මාරුකළයුතු බවට එම විනය පරීක්ෂණ වාර්තාව නිර්දේශ කර ඇතිඅතර සිද්ධිය වූ දිනයේ සිසුනට සිත්සේ හැසිරීමට ඉඩ ලබාදීමේ චෝදනා ලද මුරකරුවාද මාරු කිරීමටත් නිර්දේශ කර තිබිණි. ජාතික පාසල් අධ්යක්ෂ ශ්රීලාල් නෝනිස් මහතා විසින් විනය පරීක්ෂණය සිදුකරන ලැබ ඇත.

Above paper report shows How National Schools works and how certain teachers works at the first sight, yes They are wrong if they let children to celebrate foreign culture or some thing alien to Sri Lankan School Children. But What if the children those selves do all these stuff and finally the responsibility comes to the innocent principal. I do not know this incident far away. I know only the paper published information.
Our school system and its discipline deteriorate day by day. Where I teach we have terrible issues regarding students discipline and most of the time as teachers we are helpless to deal them. My question is why not administrators pay attention to the controversies that has lead children to this kind of behaviors and what are the possible solutions to this kind of problems. Let me explain something from our past teachers and what happened when we were school children. I did my Al’s in 2001.So I am not that much old to explain detailed stories regarding what kind of profession teaching was. But certain thing I can explain where we ourselves refused as school children when we were schooling.
When we were school children there were not television channels like this to day. But my Biology teacher Mr.Surendra told me once in near future the rich people will begin to show their money to the country and this lead a problem where whole lower class people will have to just be helpless. To day every thing has become money and every body tries to earn money from every thing. May be it is open economy or closed economy and fault must goes to the policy makers. We can say so for the monument, but we are not politicians, we are teachers. So simply the television has become the carrier most of the time and people have addicted to the television. As a result children all so live adult life and no body cares children’s adult behaviors and they left just like that and that kind things could leave to day’s situation. Basically inappropriate television programme has leaded this kind of behaviors. From the other had, had any body banned television cannels or FM cannels to avoid telecasting valentine day programmes? So what is the point transferring a principal and teachers with out taking necessary steps to avoid the problem.( I do not comment on their punishment, But as a whole this is not the solution for the major issue) J.
So I propose Why the ministry of education can’t ban This kind of television programmes? Has any necessary steps taken to avoid this kind of situation? For children’s protection there are enough institutions but, If the particular principal punished to the children he may also given the same punishment transfer with same kind of investigation. So what I say is as a nation we must get together and we must toil towards a policy which does not change time to time?
Mobile phones. Most of the time almost in every part of the country, students have mobile phones? I am An English and ICT teacher, Most of the time students ask questions regarding wireless communication and technologies regarding mobile phones. What is the point where students allow to use mobiles and we are just like teachers in the schoolL.
Recently I have read an article saying one male teacher has caught a mobile phone with xxx film and forward the phone to principal. One lady has appeared as the boys mother and has told to the principal that it was her elder daughters phone and accidentally the boy got the phoneL.So what is about That daughter…….?????????
Sexual explosions have taking place by this era in Sri Lanka and such things can be seen with certain situations? One of my friends explained the situations to me. (Actually so far this is the only consoling answer for Me. unfortunately my friend is a computer professional and he hates teaching as a profession.) Recently in India one state governers has banned the mobiles for teachers telling it disturbs the children’s learning process. Why our policy makers can not take such actions regarding our School children coz most of the time in our country Still teachers are the majority in teaching profession while cheaters are a few.
Has any of these administrators (from Hon.Ministers of Education to Zonal directors of education) visited the road after school is over? Student use mobiles just like that and who knows how many of useful conversations are there? We have filtered all XXX content under _________ chinthanaya and surfers are free now. Well if it is the fact, I can show some one how many of them are still there?
We can not hope politicians may take responsibility to do so. Coz this is politics in third world counties every body is part another’s hidden agenda and they are too helplessJ. Parents all so must be responsible. Hon religious leaders and priest who are to save millions in illegal institutions hoping high interest all so part of this kind of tragedies.
Majority of medical faculty, Engineering, Management, Arts enters are teachers’ children. This is a truth by now and will be same for another few decades here in Sri Lanka coz as I mentioned before, there are teachers still worry about the children, no matter they are their own or out side. So policy makers must pay the attention towards the children and will have to be hurry coz tomorrow could be late.
